Poems from the Heart
------------------------------- Teaching God 8/7/06 Even some Gods must learn the way to peace. If you have a vengeful God, teach forgiveness and understanding. If your God would have you smite thy neighbor, show there is another way. If your God sits as judge before you, choose the one who sees only goodness. If your God needs to be reminded with prayers, might you like another who always has you at heart? Choose another God. Create a new God. Teach God love. ******* I worry more about my kundalini rising than gas prices. ******* Graces 2007 A person should wait and learn through one entire lifetime, before uttering a word, or reacting to anything. ******* Living Prayers 5/2/07 Breathing love into words, a living prayer comes into being. Its pollen lights upon our ears, and somehow our hearts bloom. ******* 4/26/07 The birds came for the seeds, not me. In the same way I focus on the suet, and forget the source. ******* 4/6/07 Set apart in the Garden of Eden nothing was to be known. Set apart in the Garden of Eden no gods allowed, save one. Set apart and nothing to know. Stepping outside, the wide world was waiting; a garden without end. All in touch with itself, nothing and no one excluded. ******* Believe 12/21/99 When love encounters love, wonders are possible. The bloom still believes. Blessing flower, sweet and powerful, you call up compassion, dreams beatific, truth incarnate, grace. ******* Waiting 5/5/88 3 p.m. Holding Harpo's Knee To speak in the language of the ancient voices. To have chords plucked in the body of the eye, sounding words only Harpo could speak; heard, seen, both aright. We could profit from his angelic horn. Eyes closed, I stare into thoughts that were spoken. by the original silent speakers who go on reciting. ******* 2001 There are tears for a man who lived long ago, whose fate seemed to play a trick on him so, who came with answers and a way so divine, the glory and light has lasted through time. Ha knew of the living and paths in between. He raised up the sick and closed off the dream. When came men's fears, still he lived as he knew. What seemed like an end, he saw clearly through. In leaving the body, he spoke to the soul, proving that only the body turns cold. Life and life only was the message he brought. On the earth, on the cross, he was what he taught. ******* 5/15/01 I gave God and the world a chance. All we leave behind are laughter, tears, love and ashes. ******* |
Observations
------------------------------- The most advanced organisms on a planet don't destroy their own environment, or each other. Simple enough? ******* If you support a war, you're a patriot. If you support avoiding war, you're a traitor. I wish the patriots and traitors would come together soon. I mean all the patriots and all the traitors everywhere, get together. Go somewhere warm, tropical. All expenses paid. A few weeks, a month, no rush. Take a lifetime, work it out, let us know. Australia's nice. ******* December 2001 If we didn't have rules in school, they would be completely wild, with excitement. Chaos of speech and learning would rule. Kids talking to one another, the teacher; complete malestrom. Hard to bubble. ******* October 1, 2001 Kill or be killed, that's the best we can come up with? Always at each other's throats... The color of the clouds, electric pink. These aren't the same clouds anymore-- stright lines, angles. Those lofty clouds... They even took the sky away. Everything is poisoned. There are those who would have us believe they are sane with understanding. What happened to our goodness, the pure honey of a fair lifetime? Begin again somewhere please. ******* November 19, 2001 A dead squirrel learns to fly by the labors of hungry crows.. ******* February 22, 2002 Business is working hard to take the fun out of working. ******* Zen Saga Once upon a time the end. ******* Frameless November 27, 2001 This aperture of our becoming, the light that is released there, the origin of our being, that one eye sees all. Breathing back into this certain sun, there are no distractions, nor reach. Essence is the subject of this departure. ******* March 14, 2002 Schools hammer problem solving. You did them, your parents did, and theirs too. Nothing has changed, the problems remain the same. What we really need to rear are kids who avoid problems. ******* White Noise January 2002 Zero volume. Less maybe. Snowflakes: more silent than my anticipation, slowly pile up a flake at a time, sounding their power in numbers. The longer I stare, the louder it snows. What I hear has no beginning nor end. Hearing remains unmoving. If I stop looking, would it quiet things down? ******* February 2, 2002 The heart sees what the eye can't: the intention of things, the invisible. The in-road to joy gathers up strength to polish and shine. That's what it does, polish and shine. The eye flits and worries without rest or patience-- searching for the intention of things, the invisible. ******* |
