Poems from the Heart
------------------------------- Sa for the Living 3/30/87 Seed, vessel of love, the master has planted you in our garden. Complete and undaunted by the winds of time, its roots are secure where the ground is made fertile. Nature reflects perfection, and helps mature its efforts. Vessel of love, ecstatic seed, you wed to the garden, as we are one. ******* Deep within the spirit is the easy flow of yes. Happiness waits to be reclaimed. When all is said and done, nothing will be as important as a hug. ******* The sun's going down; the dangerous hour. The wisdom of the ages slides into my belly, but strange hands and feet not mine think otherwise. ******* 1989 There's a secret place just before the here and now; a strange honey glow feeling. ******* Mantra Winter 1997 As mantra, time repeats moments. Time's mantra is now. As mantra, time repeats moments. Time's mantra is now. ******* This Kind 5/7/98 We can love in ways that don't hurt us. In a deep breath we see each other clearly. Waves of merciless learning will come crashing in, ruthlessly drowning us clean. ******* My God is a pal to me. He slaps me on the back and tells me jokes. He swears, pokes fun, and laughs. He stands in dungarees and sneaks, no tie. Did I say he? I meant she. ******* When 2/19/99 When we end it begins. Inside is a lost sense of what we are. Boundless and breathtaking it must be holy. Finished like this we begin. ******* If you're not yourself, who can you trust? ******* Humans require two things, fun and love; from the beginning to the end. Those are the sacraments; keeping them, we don't get tired and old. ******* . |
Observations
------------------------------- Commercial Break At Blah Blah Blah's we blah blah blah so buy Blah Blah Blah. ******* Slow Green Betrayal February 16, 2003 She acts non-chalant, unconcerned. But I know she knows exactly what's going on. Sunlight bounces off the snow, rushes thru the window and tickles her underbelly. She holds back laughing, but pines oh so in-con-spic-u-ous-ly. Slowly, slowly, slowly she inches away. I give her water, but she pays no attention. Soon I will mean nothing; this room, nothing. Look at her peering out the window pretending not to listen. ******* I'm not sure if I just watched the news, or an infomercial. ******* Sometimes a psychiatrist is just a psychiatrist. ******* Whose Yard? February 17, 2003 There's an ocean frozen at my door. Snow splashes up against my steps, and wakes into my house. A rolling white wave washes over my yard, taking trees and hillsides with it. Everything I own is adrift. A gray sun, a sky with options. In this twilight of graces are our blessings. ******* February 20, 2003 If I were a Nazi, would I know it? Like a fish in water, would I know? My existence is predicated upon the subjugation of this planet. I eat, drink and burn it. And everyone expects me to. Is that fascist enough? ******* The Silver Rule March 12, 2003 Let no one benefit at the expense of another. The first rule isn't working. ******* March 13, 2003 60's: A cry for help. No more war Save the Earth Civil rights across the board Love one another Shoulda listened. ******* |
